DSAP AND THE PHILIPPINE DEPARTMENT OF TRADE AND INDUSTRY (DTI) SOLIDIFIES PARTNERSHIP
DSAP is committed to support the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) with its mandate to promote entrepreneurship in the Philippines, develop Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and assist in championing consumer protection by educating consumers against pyramiding.
DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez and DSAP Chairman Joey Sarmiento signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the DTI and the DSAP last February 27, 2018.
The partnership has two major projects for 2018. First is the promotion of Direct Selling as a legitimate business opportunity through the over 800 Negosyo (Business) Centers of the DTI nationwide. Videos, brochures, and other materials on Direct Selling featuring the members of the DSAP will be made available in all the DTI Negosyo (Business) Centers across the country.
DSAP is also committed to providing support in DTI-organized activities to promote entrepreneurship and the Direct Selling Industry as a legitimate source of business opportunity. The low capital requirement makes the industry an attractive option for the millions of Filipinos to help them improve their quality of life and, in the process, help the country achieve inclusive growth.
Second is the project against pyramiding. The DSAP will work with the DTI in its anti-pyramiding education campaign. The DSAP will likewise serve as the resource partner of the DTI in evaluating Direct Selling companies for the purpose of identifying legitimate companies versus pyramid scams.
