Max International Philippines Hosted First Ever Global Wellness Day Celebration

Max International Philippines gathered together some of the renowned names in health and wellness industry and kicked off the company’s first ever Global Wellness Day, last June 9. The well-attended event gathered more than a hundred twenty associates and guests—despite the heavy outpour that day.

The event kicked off with an informative and entertaining talk about healthy eating from an upcoming nutritionist Arvin Orajay. Orajay stayed on until the event ended, giving out nutrition counseling advice to the associates and their guests.

Tet Bachmann, a former corporate warrior turned yogi followed Orajay and gave a short course about the importance of rest and relaxation. She gave tips and techniques and a quick rest and relaxation lesson, which the associates gamely participated in.

Following Bachmann was Coach Tony dela Cruz who also highlighted the importance of meditation and mental wellness. Dela Cruz was a former Philippine Basketball Association—the biggest basketball league in the Philippines—player and now assistant coach of one of the biggest teams in the league, the Alaska Aces. Dela Cruz shared his mental wellness journey and how he has now reached a position of inspiring others through inspirational talks.

MaxGXL brand champion and bemedaled tri-athlete John Chicano and his indefatigable coach, Coach Melvin gave the associates a pop-up sports clinic.  He also gave the associates and their guests running preparation techniques. Coach Melvin is currently training Chicano for the upcoming South East Asia games in August, where John Chicano has been a consistent medalist since he joined years back.

To cap the impressive speaker roster is KPOP celebrity, Dasuri Choi, who gave the associates and the guests some KPOP dancing lessons, which they all gamely participated in.

After the speakers, the associates and guests were treated to inspiring testimonials from silver associates Eireene Kho and Kate Constantino, second-generation associate Semrick Semilla and gold associate Armando Capuli. The associates were also treated to various booths including a medical check-up booth, digital booth, and photo booth.
